upgrade to v. 11.10 from 11.04 failed because it "couldn't be caluclated"

Not much to add, I didn't receive any helpful messages. I am using Gnome 3 w/ 11.04, but didn't think that should be a show stopper.

Thank you. I solved it by upgrading to Ocelot. All is well now!
