Bug Description

Bluefish has released 2.2.2, which fixes a couple of major bugs, one causing text corruption in search and replace, and some segfaults. Next to that various small bugs are fixed. The new features are very minor. There are no packages that depend on Bluefish so the impact is very limited. Bluefish 2.2.2 packages for Debian are already available. http://packages.debian.org/sid/bluefish

The ChangeLog for 2.2.2:

* 2.2.2 *

Bluefish 2.2.2 is largely a bug fix release with some very minor new features. A
regression in the search functionality was fixed, that caused a segfault if a
document with search results was closed. Multiple replace with search results
directly next to each other corrupting the text was also fixed. The broken
cursor positioning that ruined the Zencoding plugin was also fixed. On the
multiplatform front: on Windows handling of the profile directory with non-ascii
characters was fixed and on MacOSX image browsing in the image dialog was fixed.
Two GTK-3 related bugs where fixed: the CSS dialog was unusable on GTK-3 and the
right margin indicator was positioned wrong. Next to the major fixes several
small memory leaks where fixed. Next to the bug fixes some small improvements
where made. Startup is slightly faster using more threads during startup and
improving the document recovery. The annoying scrolling of the side bar
filebrowser in 'treeview' mode was fixed, descriptions of language options where
fixed, and some menu strings, some HTML5 options where improved, accelerators
and shortcut keys got improved and translations got better. The new features:
duplicate line and delete line, and the Catalan translation.

does the second menu bar from the snippets plugin work fine in unity as well? This used to be a problem with unity in ubuntu 11.10 (regardless of the bluefish version).

Which second menu bar are you speaking about? I can see 2 toolbars,
one depending on the first one, but I don't see another menu bar.
Could you point me to a screenshot where I can see it?

Thanks!

attached screenshot shows the snippets plugin second menu bar as it is shown in gnome2 or gnome3

this menu is 100% user defined, but it has some defaults to show the possibilities, so it should show up on a default install.

Hi,

Thanks for the screenshot. The only difference I see is the "C Apache DHTML DocBook ..." part, that is missing. Is this the one you are speaking about? If so, this is then not fixed in 2.2.2 ...

correct, that is the part I was speaking about. This is the user-defined menu from the snippets plugin.

Please note, that debian/patches contains an Ubuntu-specific patch. Is it still necessary (you didn't enable it)?
