Bug Description
I installed Ubuntu 11.10 for the first time in Jan-2012. Since the first moment was this problem, every time I used the command:
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo halt
The PC does not turn off, instead reaches the Ubuntu logo with the five dots underneath and stays in that state in perpetual.
I tried the simple command:
sudo halt
but still the same problem.
This problem is in both terminal window and the virtual console.
One curious fact is that this problem was with the command:
sudo reboot
too in the beginning but not anymore.
