Bug Description

Binary package hint: partman-auto

I put an 80GB IDE disk in my machine and installed using feisty daily-live/20070320.1/feisty-desktop-i386.iso and "erase whole disk".

Then after testing that install, I booted again from the same CD and reran the installer, asking "Guided - resize SCSI1 ... and use freed space".

The result was "An error occurred while writing the changes to the storage devices". My syslog doesn't show any hardware problems and I have no reason to suspect the hardware.

I will attach: /var/log/syslog, /var/log/partman, and a screenshot.

partman-partitioning (47ubuntu3) feisty; urgency=low

  * Add another couple of update-dev calls; partition devices can be removed
and re-added just after committing partition table changes (LP: #94410).
