Bug Description

Using fglrx (installed through jockey) on Precise Pangolin crashes to desktop.

Use any video player to open a video file (totem, vlc, smplayer).

Expectation: video plays.

What happens: screen goes dark, X crashes and you get the login screen.

Playing flash video in browser works just fine though.

I have this exact problem with a 3-screen Radeon HD 6800 setup. I suspect it's also related to the fact that unity/gnome3 look horrible (no 3d?) which i'm not as bothered about, but just in case it's relevant. glxinfo says that I have direct rendering so i'm not sure what else to check or even what to try to fix?

My only guess is that these errors have something to do with it - how I can debug them I don't know. I'm assuming that 'no matching device' might be my on board graphics or similar and the 'ADL Handler' warnings are the more serious:

I have the same setup as Henri Cook - HD 6800 on 3 monitor setup. Get video crashes everytime I try to start something with video - VLC, Movie Player, Cheese
