6.1 - Employee Payslip without Pay Salary

Bug Description

I'm using 6.1 version - Openerp Web

I've created a employee paysip. After i close the payslip, under "Other Information", the made payment oder ticked.
However, i 'm not able to find this payment order record from Account Moduler, or account vorcher there.

Perhap, i'm misunderstanding the payment process of payroll, is it the payroll payment need to be input by using Account Entry manually?

I have checked your issue, but It's not a bug.

We have improved the hr_payroll and hr_payroll_account in 6.1 which is working totally different then the 6.0

In 6.0 we have a button of "Pay Salary" and then the payment entry will be generated. But in 6.1 the behaviour is totally different we doesn't have "Pay" button and payment entry here means that we are not creating a payment entry directly.

But when the journal entry created for employee salary, It means that his salary is done and that's why It displayed like paid.
For this version, If you want a payment entry then you have to manually created it via journal entry or bank statement.

Yes, you are right about that payment order boolean field which misleading because we didn't have payment order but this field is checked. Before fixing this we need a more suggestion on this means we need a more inputs for this issue.

That's why currently I am setting this as a "Opinion".

@Accounting Experts: Would you please share your views on this..

As what you stated, as for 6.1. I've defined the journal entry from the Salary Rules items accordingly. Once the Employee Payslip done, all necessary journal entries will be posted automatically except Payment entries (my setting from salary rules). should there be a draft payment to inform Accounts staff the payroll process is done and salary payment should be prepared. As I'm facing is all payroll's necessary journal entries posted, however accounts staff no such info to prepare payment unless they check the payable account
