just trying to install xtables-addons-dkms on precise with apt-get. dkms module failes to build.

This is fixed at sourceforge:

Debian maintainers also have a fix for a bug in Linux kernel 3.2:

I just downloaded the tar.xz from sourceforge and it compiles on my 12.04 server (x86).

Ubuntu 12.04 is in End of Life.
Also, this was fixed in newer Ubuntu releases.
