Bug Description
pt-stalk has --[no]collect, but it can't do the reverse: collect without stalking. If there's a problem happening NOW(), but the tool isn't running, one has to trick the tool into collecting immediately (e.g. --variable Uptime --threshold 1). As Jay notes, "Ya can't take away our pt-collect and not give us a replacement!"

One of the specs we had was to allow this functionality. I'm not sure if it's in a blueprint that got lost, or an email, or what. But there should be a --no-stalk --collect type of functionality.
