Bug Description

Currently, Nuvola has an option to hide the menubar, and the menu is placed in an icon at the beginning of the toolbar.

Elementary OS has always used a design that matches Nuvola's, but with the difference that the menu is placed at the right, and with a gear icon. This is implemented in eOS' Granite API.

Nuvola should consider using Granite for the AppMenu, even if it's not an official elementary app, for consistency.

Granite can't be used for multiple reasons:

1) Granite uses GTK+ 3, Nuvola Player GTK+ 2 (however, GTK+ 3 port is planned)
2) Granite has no stable release yet.
3) Granite is not packaged in any major distribution.

summary: - Use Granite's AppMenu
+ Elementary-like Nuvola menu
Changed in nuvola-player:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Confirmed
milestone: none → 1.1

In the meantime, can the design be recreated, or would it be duplicating
effort?

It is not a big change, targeted to version 1.1.
