It's not a translation bug then, but a bug of lubuntu-software-center.

Can somebody of the Lubuntu Team confirm whether the translations have been released yet?

It's fixed for 0.0.4, if LANGUAGE environnement variable is set to "de", the application is in German. However, the entire application is maybe not translated (but it's another problem).

FYI:

I have just completed the German translation for lubuntu-software-center now in trunk [0]. It might not be perfect yet (needs to be fully checked someday) but I think it is OK … enjoy ;)
