Bug Description
The calendar date selector prevents the user from advancing to the next month if the next month doesn't have that date available. I believe I reported this problem once before because it threw a General Error. It doesn't throw a General Error anymore, which is good, but it still doesn't work. Today (Jan 31, 2012) is a great example. The date sector was set to Jan 31, 2012, so when I try to advance forward to February, nothing happens - I'm assuming this is because the date selector is constraining the user's options because February only has 29 days. The date selector feature can't prevent the users from advancing forward (or backwards) using the arrows, especially because it isn't obvious why the calendar won't advance. If you change the date selector to a date that exists in February, you can move forward as you would expect. The functionality of the advance arrows and the functionality of the date selector need to work independently of each other. The advance arrows only need to follow the time horizon selection - advance by day/week/month.
I meant to add that you see this problem on both the calendar and list views.
