Bug Description
Using Feisty Fawn Herd 5 amd64-alternate CD daily build from 2007-03-11 I noticed that '/target/dev/sda' isn't created. So while I could chroot to '/target' I could not use grub-install because there was no device node for my hard drive in the chroot environment.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Choose rescue a broken system
2) Choose root file system (/dev/sda3)
3) Execute a shell in /dev/sda3
4) Try grub-install /dev/sda
5) Observe "/dev/sda: Not found or not a block device"
6) 'ls /dev/sd*' and find nothing
I was able to work around this by mounting '/dev' to '/target/dev' and then successfully installed grub to '/dev/sda'.

rescue (1.7ubuntu1) feisty; urgency=low
* Bind-mount /dev, /proc, and /sys into /target if possible (LP: #92271).
