Sorry Alexander for the delay of my answer. I'm quiet busy for the past two weeks.

I'll try tomorrow to work on this subject. I'll let you know about my environment, the way I've installed every thing on my workstation...

I've re-install every thing from scrach ubuntu using
apt-get install vlc mozilla-plugin-vlc

My firefox does not crash any more.

initially, i've downloaded the .deb files and install then using gdebi...
