Bug Description
When clicking an IRC link in Chromium, Firefox or Opera, I expect that they are opened in my running xchat instance (I have no other IRC application installed).
Currently, Firefox asks me to configure it manually, Opera tries to use its in-built IRC client and Chromium uses xdg-open, which fails badly:
LC_ALL=C xdg-open irc://irc.
gvfs-open: irc://irc.
Please make at least xdg-open work with xchat.
