Bug Description

Clementine is able to play mp4-files (however, you cannot watch the video).

Since the the new application chooser of nautilus (i really hate it, sorry to say, simple is not always better) - it is not possible to easily add a new application for a given mime type.

So please add this.

THX

Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64
clementine 1.0

Temporary fix: you can use ubuntu-tweak to add that functionality.

Hello,

Thank you for bug report. Is not the same bug as bug 899285 ?

Changed in clementine (Ubuntu):

Thanks for the reply,

bug #899285 is very similar ... ;)

I didn't find it, becauses I was fixed on the mp4-type. Marking as duplicate.

The question is: did I accidentically remove the mp4-link in former times, or is mp4-audio not linked by default to the app?

The solution described in the bug-report (a link to the ubuntu-forums) is very tricky for people that are not used to work with a terminal or editor. Ubuntu-Tweak instead allows you to choose a custom command for a file type, which you cannot do any more in the 11.10 (Gnome 3) environment.

So thanks, I think this is a nautilus problem, rather than one with clementine.
