I have pre-existing code for a ToolButton AppMenu I hope can be adapted. But this may, after further investigation, be provided by lp:granite

How do you feel about Audience having a video library instead of being reliant on the filesystem for finding videos?

Harvey: Just discussed it shortly on irc:
(14:19:35) Ikke: codygarver: did you see harvey's comment on bug 903868?
(14:23:07) codygarver: pimvullers: I like the idea of this https://blueprints.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+spec/librarykit but I don't like the idea of being a dedicated library manager without an external component like librarykit; I don't think it's common for users to keep a library of videos or at least handle them in a library fashion
(14:24:02) codygarver: I have a massive collection of videos, I assume I'm in the minority
(14:24:46) Ikke: codygarver: for me the idea behind audience is that it's a video player, not a manager... (mostly I use external devices on my laptop to grab the files from)
(14:25:01) codygarver: pimvullers: I agree
(14:25:11) voluntatefaber: pimvullers: I support your idea, I approve the "do one thing and do it well"
(14:27:17) Ikke: also... how would you order videos in a library,,,
(14:27:42) codygarver: pimvullers: right, it's quite different from the way audio files are handled, even though they support tags
(14:30:20) Ikke: so if something like librarykit would be available we could support it, but for now I'd say stick to the player functionality
(14:30:37) codygarver: pimvullers: completely agree
