Bug Description

OS: Mint 12 Lisa (Gnome 32-bit)

I downloaded the AllTray app from the repository to be able to minimize Thunderbird to tray. When I run the app, a window prompting me to click an app I'd like to dock to tray appears, but nothing happens when I try to click it - well, either nothing happens or the app simply freezes and becomes non-responsive, so I have to end the process manually.

Did you try to run alltray from terminal to see if any error message comes up ?
It seems to be working fine here.

BTW, I don't think this is the best way to minimize Thunderbird to the tray. There is an extension called MinimizeToTray in Thunderbird which does that very well. To install it, open Thunderbird, go to the menu->Tools->Add-ons and search for "minimizetotray".

Hi,

thanks for the tip, the minimizetotray add-on seems to work perfectly.

I also tried running AllTray from terminal - running it, I receive the
following line:

Gdk-WARNING **: Can't confine to grabbed window, not native

I tried minimizing the Terminal window to tray, which actually worked,
but I could only call it back by right clicking the icon in the tray and
chosing "Undock" from the drop down menu. Double clicking the icon
didn't work, as I believe it was supposed to.

Oh well, at least the system didn't lock up this time. On one of the
previous attempts, I both the upper and the lower tray disappeard and
could not call up anything with keyboard shortcuts, so I had to restart
the computer manually.

Thanks again and best regards,

Klemen
