Bug Description
Closing the lid and then reopening makes the screen go black. The netbook is not suspending or hibernating, just the screen goes black and there is no way to revert back to normality.
Moving the mouse or pressing some keys make the screen flickering with the desktop appearing for about 100 ms, and then it goes black again.
The only thing left to do is to perform a hard reboot by holding the power button down.

For GPU lockup bugs with Intel graphics, you need to collect the output of 'dmesg' and your /sys/kernel/ debug/dri/ 0/i915_ error_state file. Both of these must be collected while the machine is locked up (e.g. by sshing into the sick machine over ethernet). See https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/X/Troublesh ooting/ Freeze for additional info.
