Bug Description

When you buy a vehicletype, instead of coming out from the war factory, the unit will be paradropped.
Now that we have BuiltAt= tag, this is useful.

##### ADDITIONAL INFORMATION #####
[GAWEAP]
...
ParadropFactory=yes
ParadropFactory.Plane=PDPLANE
ParadropFactory.AllowWayPoint=yes

If AllowWayPoint is set to "yes", and you set a way point somewhere far away from the factory, the plane will fly there and paradrop, but if the tag is set to "no", the plane will fly next to the GAWEAP and drop the vehicle there.

This can already sorta be done. Although the factory would be limited to only 2 purchases via 2 SW paradrop attached to war factory"due to limit of 2 sw's per building", with each SW costing money, and they would be limited to 1 purchase at a time. Also multiple SW's could be purchased at same time due to it being an SW, although recharge times could offset this.

But what you want is different from this, but I thought I'd mention it. I think your idea is neat, but not very important for ares right now as other bugs on tracker should be addressed with higher priority.

Still NPatch Edition feature by VK... , isn't it ? I prefer chrono-type factories
(whole bib..) but it is smart, too...

EricAnimeFreak I already thought about that idea. But the biggest problem imo is that the unit will be in the defense tab.

Could this feature be made so that it only happens for every 'n' units built? For example, it would be pretty useless to paradrop one unit at a time, but what if as soon as eight or ten or whatever many units were built, they'd all be paradropped, or it would make the SW button become active?

Have you played Tiberian Dawn?

Nope. I realize this might be a sort of failing on my part, but I just never really liked the tiberium concept. I was always a Red Alert fan.
Why?

In TD, Nod vehicles were bought on the Airstrip, which is a huge airpad. When they were finished constructing, the units were brought on a(n invulnerable, IIRC) Badger Bomber which dropped them out at the strip.

D, wouldn't that needs some refactoring of that hook you use in the factory branch? I mean all three variations, Chrono, DropPods and Paradrops. Getting the outline->getting the setting->if chrono, force chrono locomotor, ignore Teleport, spawn on ExitCoord, move to Outline10 and reset locomotor/if paradrop, create paradrop with the unit, targeting Outline10, set the unit's mission to move to the rally point/if droppod, same with DPods, if neither, fall back to KickOutUnit and such.

Just a brainstorm. And it should work with AI, unlike NPatch. :P (This doesn't meabn somebody is working on it, I just have a coding suggestion.)

Is this on our pseudo-mental "list of stuff to do"?
If so, somebody set this to "invalid" and update the blueprint.
If not, somebody set this to "won't fix" and the blueprint to "obsolete".

(Alternatively, the original requester can, of course, proactively start whipping the blueprint into shape.)
