Bookmarked folder names in sidepane change to incorrect strings

You can see in the attached screenshot that "Downloads" and "Music" are instead displayed as "subtitleeditor" and "success_color". (Just moments before, "Downloads" was "audio/x-wav". After browsing to another folder, "Music" became "theme_tooltip_bg_c...") The location bar is not affected--it correctly displays "Downloads".

The bug has never been apparent when Marlin first starts; only shows up after working with files/directories. It seems any of the bookmarked folders in the sidepane may change, including trash, though they don't change all at the same time.

Dragging & dropping a new folder bookmark in the sidepane forces a refresh and the folder names go back to the correct ones.

Hello, i can't reproduce your issue, if you can reproduce it and give me the exact steps to squash this bug thanks. (sound like a critical one but i am waiting for confirmation)

Here is the debug output while reproducing the issue. At 23:37:27, "Documents" changed to "PDF documents" in the sidepane.

Same bug after upgrading to 0.1-0~630~oneiric1: in this case, "Documents" changed to "l2049".

the bug still persist in 0.1-0~671~oneiric1. My Download folder name in Place changes to something else.

I can comfirm this bug, you can reproduce it just by mouting/unmounting devices.

I got this too, and I can reproduce go to Documents/pic/vid/downloads then drag a file to trash in sidepane, the side pane will move down 1 or 2 pixel, and the folder name in side pane will change to unpredictable letters.

I'm on ubuntu 11.10 64bit, and marlin is the latest in ppa as of this comment

seems fixed here too, although the side pane will still move down 1 or 2 pixel when I drag something to the trash, I thought it was because the strange letters stretching it out. so maybe that's a unrelated problem.

I think I got this bug today testing Georgi Karavasilev's dynamic Unity quicklist branch, where it only affects the bottom bookmark and only when opened via the quicklist (see screenshot). He assured me that the bug is with Marlin itself, so here I am.

My branch does not touch Marlin, all it does in basically "copy & paste" the stuff from "$HOME/.gtk-bookmarks" to "marlin.desktop" file.
So, the labels in the sidepane still differ from the ones in "$HOME/.gtk-bookmarks"

I just encountered this bug as well, it seems to be linked to the bug where you cannot unmount a mounted external drive. The bookmarks's text all becomes garbage.
