Bug Description

The application switcher (which normally shows huge icons of running applications) is sometimes not visible when alt+tab is pressed. When this occurs, if open windows are reorganized so that the desktop is visible, the application switcher appears in front of the desktop but behind any windows.

No, it's not a duplicate of that bug. Yes, I can reproduce it on my system to my heart's content. I've seen it on my wife's 11.10 system as well. Unfortunately I haven't found a usage pattern that causes it to start happening.
