Bug Description

Unity3d was crashing all the time I logged in. And freezing the whole desktop. I thought it was because my netbook specs (intel atom, i915 gpu).
Until i found out if i turn off my wireless card disabling automatic connection to internet, Unity starts fine and is pretty snappy and usable. If i turn wireless back with Fn+F1 as soon as the connection sequence starts unity freezes again.

After reinstall Unity does not freeze immediately. It is usable for a while, then randomly the network drops, and the freeze occours.
Dmesg outputs a couple of drm errors.

[drm:i915_hangcheck_ring_idle] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... blt ring idle [waiting on 9004, at 9004], missed IRQ?

It seems to be a kernel issue caused by a kernel bug (EHCI: BIOS handoff
failed (BIOS bug?)) read on
here<https://lists.linux-foundation.org/pipermail/bugme-new/2008-December/020541.html>
.
Disabling the Legacy USB support in BIOS seems to resolve the problem.

Anyway every other destops (Unity2D, KDE, Gnome3) works fine. It makes only
Unity 3D crash. So I would not say it is invalid.

After a few days of further testing the problem appears again, only not
when tryig to connect, but seemingly randomly.

here's my dmesg output. The crash seemingly happens at 'Disabling IRQ #16':
