i used your program fine in unbuntu 11.04 but when i upgraded to 11.10, none of the recording options would show up on rhythbox.

Need more info.

How did you install the plugin, and what version?

What's your version of rhythmbox?

Quit rhythmbox, and post the output that you get in console when typing 'rhythmbox -D record-station', and activating the plugin.

Be more specific (what recording options?), I assume you mean the record button that normally shows up in the toolbar. Can you access the plugin settings (Edit -> Plugins) ?

Hi,

I am fairly new to ubuntu so you will have to bear with me. i downloaded the plugin from your website (version 1.3.3). i am using rhythmbox version 2.90.1

as far as recording options, i would simply right click on the station and click on record. also, the plugin does not show up on the plugin settings.

when i typed rhythmbox -D record-station in the terminal window, this is what i saw listed:

If it doesn't show up in the plugin options, then it means it's not installed. Try to reinstall the plugin. It could be also possible that with the Ubuntu upgrade, the folder that rhythmbox searches for its plugins has changed.

Post output of this command: "locate rhythmbox | grep plugins"

I have a similar problem. I installed the plugin (version 1.3.2) with rhythmbox version 2.90.1/ubuntu 11.10 x64. Plugin options don't show up on rhythmbox...

i got the same probelm as descripted above.
I tried to re-install the rhythmbox-record-station-1.3.3-all.tar.gz as described in wiki.ubuntuusers.de/rhythmbox, but that did not work.

"locate rhythmbox | grep plugins" does not give any result.

I have no idea..

remove the quotes. If it still doesnt give a result run "sudo updatedb" (again without quotes) first.

I'm now using Rhythmbox 2.90 on arch linux and I can reproduce it (plugin won't show up)

Looks like the rhythmbox guys f***ed up a lot of things, after some changes to the plugin file I got it to show up, but activating it leads to a GObject crash that I have no idea about. Sorry.

i have been using stream ripper..works so far but would definitely like the
setup of the plugin for rhythmbox...
