Bug Description
Since upgrading to Oneiric, Libre Office often fails to create an icon in the Unity launcher. The problem occurs with all Libre Office apps be it Write, Calc or Draw etc.
I don't have any Libre Office icons pinned to my Unity launcher. When I start Libre Office (through Unity search or opening a file in Nautilus) I expect Libre Office icons to appear on the launcher to indicate that it's running and allow task switching.
The bug doesn't happen all of the time though; Occasionally I'm favored enough by the Unity gods that icons appear. I haven't spotted a pattern that triggers it but I'll post more information here when I find it.
I don't know if this is relevant but I checked the unity>launcher entry in dconf-editor to see if there was anything obviously wrong.
Here are the entries:
favorite-migration: 3.2.10
favorites: ['nautilus-
shows-on-edge: checked.
I'm going to try reseting all of these to default values to see if the problem goes away.

After resetting all values to default in dconf-editor > desktop > unity > launcher I rebooted. The problem still remains for me.
To recreate the bug:
1. Remove all Libre Office icons from unity launcher.
2. Open Dash and search for LibreOffice.
3. Launch the 'LibreOffice' entry rather than one of its apps like 'Calc' or 'Writer'.
The LibreOffice quickstart window will open, but there will be no icon in the Unity launcher. Even when you launch one of the apps (like Writer etc.) from this quickstart window a launcher icon does not appear.
Sometimes when I open a file from Nautilus (eg. double click an .odt or .doc file) the problem also occurs (but not always).
However When I launch an app like Calc or Writer directly from the Dash an icon correctly appears in the launcher.
