i was upgrading the distro ubuntu from 11.04 to 11.10

Ok, I'm not any sort of administrator here, but I found a simple solution. The problem is just that update manager failed to install the newest flash browser plugin, but Ubuntu Software Center can. That did it for me.

has the same error message that you had [although yours was partially in Italian] in your VarLogDistupgradeApttermlog.gz
