Bug Description

Binary package hint: amaya

i'm aware of bug #63421 but that seems like it's edgy specific?

amaya still crashes, and refuses to run for me:

(amaya:28447): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_colormap: assertion `!GTK_WIDGET_REALIZED (widget)' failed
The program 'amaya' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 13674 error_code 8 request_code 143 minor_code 5)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

From bug #86538:

However, I am able to install and use 9.54 from the Amaya binary downloads page."

I also downloaded version 9.55 from http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/BinDist.html. uninstalled the non working package, installed the one there and works perfectly.

Okay. I uninstalled the 9.55 that came with Shift and dpkg-ed the 10.0.1 version from http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/BinDist.html. It works fine now. Thanks to maintainers!

I'm marking this as fixed, as it was closed (in Debian) and synced a while ago.
