This bug affects me on two machines, each one upgraded from natty.
The keyboard works fine in the bios and the grub boot promt and stops working at the unity login prompt.

This bug affects me. I did a fresh install of 11.04 after which my logitech wireless keyboard(but not mouse) stopped working. Is there any workaround until this gets fixed ?

There is a work around I posted it on Kubuntu forum
requires small edit to a file 62-?? can't recall name also works in 11.10
but does not work in 12.04 because file does exist and adding it does work.

John Hibdon, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-evdev REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
