Bug Description

This is a ThinkPad X61 Tablet. To reproduce:

  1. Boot with both batteries inserted (main battery, and docking battery)
  2. Plug in AC power
  3. Remove docking battery
  4. Remove main battery
  5. Re-plug docking battery

Result:

Indicator-power only shows one battery, but with the time-to-charge predictions from the other battery.

Ideally the time-to-charge should be specific to an individual battery pack itself (based on serial number).

Hi Paul, thanks for the bug report.

Could you open a terminal and paste here the output of "upower -d" before and after plug the batteries?

Thanks a lot

(Easier to read directory listing. The 8th state of nothing plugged in, is somewhat harder to test!)

I am adding to this bugreport despite the fact I am affected by the indicator mixing up my batteries in a different way.

When running on battery with both batteries charged the indicator shows the state of the internal (not actively used) battery until the external one discharged.
After the notebook switches to the internal battery the indicator sometimes keeps showing the internal's state for a couple of minutes.
After a while the indicator switches to the external battery's state (discharged).
This behavior makes the indicator pretty useless for me.

Nearly every time I run on battery my notebooks executes the power critical action after a short period of time displaying the discharged battery status. Maybe this is related?
