Bug Description
Filed during discussion in bug #824629.
On this ThinkPad I have two batteries. It appears that the (brackets) following the selection of "Show Time in Menu Bar" are always shown.
Ideally the use of brackets should follow the specification in:
https:/
and only been shown using charging phases.

Can you open a terminal and post here the outup of 'upower -d'?
