Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Is the xorg dependancy absolutely necessary?
Bitstream Charter and Courier 10 Pitch clutter up my font list and I want to be able to deinstall them, but I can't before xorg depends on them.
I can't think of an application which really depends on xfonts-scalable to be able to function properly.
Can this dependancy be removed?
Please don't get me wrong I don't want them removed from the standard Ubuntu distribution. I just want to be able to deinstall them if I choose to.

Yes, that could be changed as Recommends, so it's installed by default but could be removed if necessary.
