Totem unable to play from gnome-dvb-deamon

Whenever I double click a channel in totem under Ubuntu Oneiric, I get an error "Location not found" .. If I launch totem from a terminal, I see the following error

$ totem

Most likely something is wrong with the URL. It would be great if you could provide some debug output from gnome-dvb-daemon and/or Totem.

Hi Seb,

Here is what I did, I added myself to system group "video", rebooted, then started gnome-dvb-daemon with
GST_DEBUG=*:2,dvb*:3,mpeg*:5 gnome-dvb-daemon --gst-debug-no-color 2> debug.log

Then:

- Started totem, tried to tune to a channel, failed, got error message
- Started "digital TV control center", setup a recording, got a 0 bytes file

Both operations should show up in that attached file

Looks like something's wrong with the tuning data. You could try a couple of things:
- check if the error occurs with different channels as well
- generate channels.conf with other tools (e.g. scan) and setup the device manually (http://live.gnome.org/DVBDaemon/UserGuide#Manual_setup)

For testing you should first try if recording works properly.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem and following your last message:
 - the error occurs with ALL the channels
 - I've generated the channels.conf with scan and problem persists (attached)
 - Recording works properly.
