Bug Description

When I connect to my wireless network when running Oneiric Beta 1, the connection operates normally at first, but seems to plug up after a little use. For instance, if the first thing I do is run "apt-get update", package information initially downloads quickly, but usually by the time apt-get starts fetching oneiric/universe sources, the rate drops to (at best) 482 B/s and the time remaining can be measured in days. If I visit normal web pages, they never finish loading.

"ping" does not report any dropped packets.

The problem does not occur when I use a wired connection to the same router, or when I use a wireless connection when running Natty.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue.

However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request.

We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel currently in the release pocket than the one you tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not.

If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released.

Thank you for your help.

I tried a wget of ubuntu-11.10-beta1-desktop-i386.iso from the Ubuntu releases server, and throughput dropped to near zero after 1,230,000 bytes were received.
