Bug Description
After recovering an IMAP folder from the auto-save file, quitting it gives error messages about stale messages. The handling of them doesn't seem to be correct. For instance, even the messages below indicate that VM is confused about them:
Found 5 messages with invalid UIDs. Expunge them? (y or n)
Please answer y or n. Found 5 messages with invalid UIDs. Expunge them? (y or n)
They will be labelled 'stale'
Expunging messages in cache... done
Expunging messages on the server...
2 stale deleted messages are ignored
Expunging messages on the server... done

This problem seems to arise when `nil' gets entered as the UIDVALIDITY value in a message. It should be possible to do some testing using `nil' values for UIDVALIDITY.
If the stale messages are expunged, new copies should be retrieved from the server. But often they don't get retrieved.
