Scale stroke width (Preference option)

When you have the InkScape Preference option: InkScape Preferences/Tranform..............uncheck ”Scale stroke width, it scale lines anyway. Your 2px line can now be 1.935637 or 2.136549 (the number is just to illustrate) So if you work in discipline manner so you can bath change line width easy in Geany or Find Dialog, it doesn’t help. You dont't get a search hit on 2px line width because it's 1.935637 in Geany or in InkScapes Find Dialog.

On Win7 with inkscape 0.48.2 it works just fine.
What is your OS and inkscape version ?
Are you just scaling a line or something more complex ?

@Tommy - Does the Scale stroke width issue still affect you? If so, could you please give your OS and Inkscape version, and provide an example file so that we can try to reproduce and investigate?

I've noticed that while you're scaling, the stroke changes, but when you release the mouse, it resets to whatever the original stroke was

Feel free to reopen the report and provide the requested information. With regard to stroke width, keep in mind that the actual value as stored in the SVG source is also subjected to transforms on parent containers (e.g. scaled groups) - there's a difference between that value and the computed width as shown in the GUI. Without a more detailed test case, and information about the version of Inkscape used, this report can't be further investigated.
