Yes it is, in other applications the sound work correctly, ie just after creating a record with 'sound recorder', I play it in the same application to test it, and it works, but when I go to 'libre office impress' or 'Open office presentation' there is no sound for all new record  files. I mean if I use the previous files I recorded in may or June, the sound works but for the new records files : nothing works.

Of course, I verified the extension files, for 'record files' there are all with '.ogg'

Thanks

 Tedj

Hello,

In the literatur of UBUNTU I found the following information :
According to this bug report(or feature request), all OSSsupport in Maverick Meerkat (10.10) was removed. This means that a lotof programs which are included in the base Ubuntu install do not work
out of the box – and may never work if they are not updated. For some
odd reason, this removal of OSS did not make it into the release notesfor Ubuntu 10.10.
Do you think : may be I used OSS and now it is removed, I use ALSA in 'Sound recorder' software???
Thank you for a reply
Tedj

Thank you very much for your answer.

I found the solution, I recorded my 'sound recorder' file in a private directory, instead of saving it in 'Music' directory.

I suppose, Impress recognizes only sound files from 'Music' directory. This was my problem.
NOW IT WORKS!!!

I am still working on unbuntu 10.10.

Is ubuntu 11.04 stable now???  I had a lot of problems 3 - 4 months ago.

Regards,

Tedj

I would personally class 11.04 as stable.

If you are no longer having the problem though, it's not necessary to test it - 10.10 is still in support.
