When using the wifi slider, it will disable both bluetooth and wireless networking. It will not be possible to turn bluetooth and wifi back on however, and a reboot will be necessary to do so.

Judging from WifiSyslog.txt, it looks like the block is being removed but network-manager just isn't initiating a connection, in which case this could be a duplicate of bug 823615. The only problem with that is that I'd suspect the slider to be setting a hard block, and that bug was only observed with a soft block.

Can you provide the output of 'rfkill list' when wifi and bluetooth are disabled with the slider, and then again after the slider is back to the enable position but wifi and bt have not been reenabled? Thanks!

bug 823615 is for wireless hotkeys, and this system only has the wireless slider, no sure if that makes difference or not

All blocks are being removed, which leads me to believe network-manager is the problem. I've got one more thing for you to try to verify this. With the machine in this state, deselect and then reselect the "Enable Wireless" option in the network-manager applet. Does wifi reconnect after doing this? Try the same thing with bluetooth as well.

Seth -- That seems to bring back bluetooth, but not wifi.
