Bug Description

After the most recent Unity update with the new dash and lense, when I click the new Ubuntu start button the Launcher to display the dash, everything turns green in the dash, as well as the launcher turning green too. The screenshot attached shows this.

This also affects the new alt-tab overlay too. It seems to happen on anything that should be blurred in Unity.

Interesingly, when I logged out and back in again, the green now goes away.

That's basically how it's supposed to work right now. Those elements are tinted with a color based on your wallpaper.

No,it should't that commit is already backported in unity 4.8.0 package.
When I first started unity after the update, I had the very similar
issue, in my case the color was white, re-login fixed it and the issue
have not happened since.

Got this error today even with the latest update.

I changed my wallpaper and used my PC. Then I restarted and when invoque the Dash this error came up.

The wallpaper have a blue background.
