Bug Description

In Unity 3D session, when I move the cursor on a window button (minimize, maximize or close button), the button is not highlighted as I expected.
The button look doesn't change when I move the cursor on it, but I can click on it and it's responsive.

It happens only with floating windows. When a window is maximized, the buttons in the Unity panel are highlighted when I move the cursor on them.

I tried several window bar themes (Ambiance, Radiance and unofficial themes) but the issue remains present.

In Unity 2D session, I don't have this issue.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10, with Unity 4.6.0.

I believe you are using NVIDA with the gallium3d driver? This issue is specfic to gallium3d, happened at one stage in Natty as well that I reported as bug 729596. Though I am not totally sure if something needs changing in compiz as well

Actually, I am using the radeon driver.

And I just discovered something else : with multiple windows, every window seems to have the focus. The window decoration is the same for each window, for example there are no gray buttons for a non-focused window with the Ambiance theme.

I join a screenshot with 2 windows that are having the focus.
I moved my mouse on the "maximize" button of the terminal window (the cursor is invisible in the screenshot).

I applied the latest updates today (some mesa and libgl updates) and I have no more issue.

With every window theme I tried, the buttons are now properly highighted.
I don't have anymore the other issue with the multiple focused windows.
Everything seems to work good.
