Bug Description

it is very inconvenient to try and put my mouse on that skinny scrollbar. In the newer versions on ubuntu there would usually be two arrow buttons that appear when you put your mouse button over the scroll bar. Perhaps that was something that was missed with firefox? because everything else that requires scrolling has those arrows appear.

can someone please post an update about this situation?: I can't use my touchpad for scrolling since 11.04 so I need the scrollbar to work well. Thanks.

Could you please attach a screenshot of what you are describing? It would also be helpful to have a screenshot of a different application where the scrollbar is working as you expect.

compensate for that.

The scrollbar that you see in Firefox is the same that you should see in most 3rd party applications.

The behavior you describe where the two arrow buttons appear is something that I only see in Ubuntu specific things, like the file manager and the control center. This is simply a design feature that isn't included in every app.

no no... before firefox was updated it was integrated with the ubuntu
style "skinny" scrollbar. After being updated it didnt have it
anymore. Perhaps it was a bug. But who cares.. problem solved.

Sorry I misinterpreted you there. So when you say problem solved, do mean that it works correctly now with the latest updates?

there was an upgrade to the new version of firefox. That addressed the
issue. The scrollbar discontinued with ubuntu integration in return
for just a standard scroll bar.

That's what I was seeing when I was trying to verify this, which is why I was confused. I'm glad the problem is solved.
