I ran into this bug several times now after resuming my desktop from suspend. However, my session was not resumed, instead the primary login screen was shown and the crash notification was shown immediately after logging in.

It seems that when resuming from suspend, there's always something crashing. One time it's bamfdeamon, the other time it's something else. And sometimes there's just a 'crashing spree' with numerous applications crashing right after the other. This is a serious degration in comparison to 11.04 where suspend/resume worked flawlessly most of the time.

Happened again today, after resuming from suspend, together with systray.py / hplip.

Bugreports I filed for similar crashes so far:
#844120
#852219
#852818
#853087
#855769
#856624
#857626
#858030

Perhaps it's me, but I'm seeing a pattern here... How can I help finding the root cause of all these crashes when resuming from suspend?

Yesterday's updates didn't fix this bug as it happened again today, exact same circumstances.

bamfdaemon crashed as soon as my system resumed from suspend. Compiz is acting weird too. In the console it is showing applications twice when pressed "Alt+Tab". After resume, it doesn't ask prompt for login. It directly logs in. It happens all the time whenever my system resumes from suspend. I have to restart my machine to get rid of this issue.

I got this bug again today, again when resuming from suspend. Seems like when resuming from suspend, either one of these three scenarios happen:
1. Resume works for both the machine and your session, but something crashes
2. The machine resumes, but not your session (and when logging in again, something usually crashes)
3. The machine seems to resume but the screen stays off. Only a hard reset of the machine remains as a solution.

I have yet to get a single resume where everything 'just works'...

Would mentioning that this just happened again today under the same circumstances, help anything?

Ohwell... *sigh*

With one day left before the release of Oneiric... I'm guessing this bug will not be fixed in time, right? *crossing fingers*
