The following seems to work

$ sudo piuparts /tmp/isdnutils-base_3.9.20060704+dfsg.2-8_i386.deb --keyring=/usr/share/keyrings/ubuntu-archive-keyring.gpg

This was fixed in 0.39ubuntu1, and works out of the box on natty and oneiric.

piuparts (0.39ubuntu1) natty; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian Unstable. Remaining changes:
    - In Ubuntu, debfoster tries to remove packages with priority required
      even if MaxPriority=required is used. Setting MaxPriority to important
      reduces the number of packages to be removed as well as false positives
      generated by unwanted package removals. This can be dropped if a
      proper fix for debfoster is found.
  * Makefile: added python2.7 support and drop python2.5 support (unsupported)
  * piuparts.py:
    - set default distribution to natty
    - set default keyring name to ubuntu-archive-keyring.pgp

Since maverick has the same version, this change should be applied to both lucid and maverick. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/UpdatePreparation#Update%20the%20packaging advises using versions 0.38ubuntu3.10.04.1 and 0.38ubuntu3.10.10.1 respectively.

The patch is otherwise fine, though, so don't worry about resubmitting debdiffs; I'll take care of the necessary minor adjustments.

I also corrected the changelog to say gpg rather than pgp; it was wrong in the natty changelog but we don't need to duplicate the mistake. :-)

Thanks, Colin. My itch is LTS and maverick has only very little life left in it. I didn't quite see the point to bother with it. And I think version number are already growing too long at times. But I'm sure maverick users will be happy ;-)
