Bug Description
Ubuntu 11.04, but also other incarnations (Kubuntu, Mint, UStudio, ...) based on this release are affected.
Brand new computer. Acer Aspire 5253G with AMD Dual-Core CPU E-350, but also other computers with the same HW (CPU-Video: HP, MSI, ...) are affected.
Fresh install. After the setup is finished a driver update comes up and offer to update ATI/AMD driver. After it finishes when the computer goes in sleep mode never wakes up no more. You need to switch it off and switch it on again.
Maybe this is an ATI linux driver issue, but Ubuntu should not use this driver or if uses until it is fixed should not let the computer to enter this stage (from there is no way back). People not blames ATI, blames Ubuntu and refuses this new, great release.
