Bug Description

I bought myself a new multitouch screen, however it's like ubuntu never set itself up to use multitouch; I'm able to use single touch; but there isn't any multitouch capability I'm able to do (tried several things; also not recognized as a touchpad since 2-finger scrolling doesn't work eather AND it's not moving the mouse on touch but placing it where my finger is

(installed 'utouch' package with dependencies & rebooted; no change at all, so that's not the case)

Could you give us more info about your screen, the make, model, etc? Also, could you run this command in a terminal to gather more info:

apport-collect 803697

That will help us debug the issue, thanks!

issue lays (partly) on the screen itself, after a while touch stopped
working so it's in a return shipment as we speak;
once I get it back I'll report how it went (never tested on ubuntu 11.10,
could be fixed)
