Bug Description

The black screen bug still occurs when using the "Black screen workaround" in the old version so I've updated the bug description: when using WallpaperClock screenlet (version 2.6 from the screenlets PPA) in Ubuntu 11.04, the screen turns black every 1 minute for a few seconds, making this screenlet unusable.

The policy in Screenlets is to provide functional screenlets of general interest in the package screenlets-pack-basic. Rest of the screenlets in the PPA or screenlets-pack-all are provided "as is" and should be fixed either by interested users (you can provide a patch or join https://launchpad.net/~indiv-screenlets-dev and do it) or original developers. I'm just assigning the bug to the original developer, but as far as I know, he hasn't been active for a while.

Tried to fix order of commands changing background image in version 2.7 which will be available in https://launchpad.net/~screenlets-dev/+archive/ppa in next 24h. I'm not sure about the background turning black once in a minute though, I noticed it only once and haven't been able to reproduce it after that.

If you can specify a bit more in what conditions it happens, maybe I can fix it.

It happens each time for me. I've just started the screenlet now and it happens again. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 32bit with Unity (and thus Compiz enabled) but I'm not sure what else I could tell you to help solve this issue.

I'm also using the Google Calendar and FolderView screenlets and ... that's all I got.
