BeatBox delete my music

BeatBox seems to randomly delete some of my tracks.

Are you sure they are deleted or are they sent to the trash? When does this happen? Can you reproduce?

I have no idea but my tracks definitively got deleted because of BeatBox.
It happended even for some tracks I added less than a week ago, and also for some that I have since ages.
It removed only some tracks of the albums.
I have no idea how it happened, maybe BeatBox delete the files he can't read for a reason or another ?

I'm also experiencing this.

BeatBox is sending some of my songs to the trash. This occurs everytime the program rescans the Music Folder, either manually or when it's starting.

The terminal outputs the following when BeatBox is rescanning the Music Folder:

Could not move file /home/victor/Music/Folder_1/04 Song.mp3 to trash: Error trashing file: No such file or directory (you could be using a file system which is not supported)

Could not move file /home/victor/Music/Folder_2/08 Song.mp3 to trash: Error trashing file: No such file or directory (you could be using a file system which is not supported)

Forgot to mention that, despite the error message, those files (04 Song.mp3 and 08 Song.mp3) were actually sent to the trash.

Victor, can you concur that those error message are directly related to the issue? Is that the only time that this bug happens? Does the bug only happen when those error messages are shown, and does it only affect the files listed?

Also, do you see a relation between the files deleted and files you have edited the metadata in?

Do you use a non-ext formatted hard drive by any chance?

Nice to see this has been fixed ! ... Maybe I'm too late to respond your questions, but here they go:

Do you use a non-ext formatted hard drive by any chance? No, I don't. I only use ext4 partitions to store my data.

PS: Haven't tested the latest branch yet. I'm doing so today to get the fix. Thank you :D

Hi again.

After testing the latest branch found this bug is still present.

I have more accurate info on this now. It doesn't delete my music during the start-up process ... only when I manually perform the 'Rescan Music Folder' operation. Also, the songs deleted are the ones from the 'History' category.

You are actually experiencing bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/beat-box/+bug/804351 . The song is overwritten, not deleted.
