language pack creation for Bemba

Thanks for your work there! Before we can start building langpacks, we need to have a locale for Bemba (also submitted to upstream glibc). Did that already happen, i. e. is there a locale which we can add to langpack-locales? If so, can you please link to the upstream bug and attach the locale here?

We have the locale. Got a lot of help from Claude but I doubt its made it yet into the upstream ( may be due to timing issues). Not sure what the bug here: http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12681 means in terms of availability of the locale for upstream inclusion. May be you can advise?

Ah, thanks for pointing out the upstream bug. Congratulations, it was already accepted upstream, so nothing to worry about :-)

I updated langpack-o-matic's maps to the current data from oneiric and the new langpack-locales, so it now knows about Bemba as well. That means, as soon as any Ubuntu package or Launchpad export any bem_ZM po files, a language-pack-bem will be created.
