Bug Description
Binary package hint: cheese
As mentioned in the current hook "/debian/
We can test the gstreamer stream using command:
gst-launch-0.10 autovideosrc ! ffmpegcolorspace ! autovideosink
If there is an error in the stream and the user is facing the same error in Cheese as well it is a driver error and there is nothing that can be done to fix in Cheese. These bugs need to be filed in the Linux kernel where the driver would need fixing.
Right now, a triager has to manually check the tag and move the bugs to linux kernel and apport-collect again for linux package. We discussed this on the bug control mailing list where it was suggested to file a bug to improve the hook and get apport to automatically file bugs directly in kernel for such bugs.
