chronyd won't start with linux 3.x

Binary package hint: chrony

This is a copy of Debian's #628919.

With Linux 3.0-rc1, this happens:

Out of curiosity: why does commit ec7d302a6ca9e7974a05d338267b40491a1d7abb close #628919 (dup of #484499, syntax errors in /etc/default/grub)?
