We've disabled the software center stuff in ugr-ebuild. What was its purpose/ what did it do?

I have no idea, gotta ask the previous maintainer.

The best thing you can do to fix ugr-ebuild is forget about the existence of ebuild and use UCK + .deb's right away, we're slowly migrating to that system too.
