when rotating the screen, part of it freeze

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

When I am using the screen options, and that I rotate the screen, in the new screen configuration half of the screen shows random trends of color. I am using Narwhal 11.04, and I have an ATI Radeon.

Can you answer these questions please?

1.) Have you applied all updates to Ubuntu 11.04? Run update-manager and make sure it doesn't have any updates
2.) What graphics card exactly do you have? Run in a terminal 'lscpi -v' and attach the output as a file here (or make a comment with the output).

As you can see this bug is a duplicate of another one, but I would like to see if it can be fixed in your situation.

1.Yes, as of 28 june 2011 all updates have been done.
2.The graphic card used is an ATI radeon HD 5800 ("01:00.0 VGA compatible
controller: ATI Technologies Inc Cypress [Radeon HD 5800 Series]")
